Of Echols County passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family. She was born in Buckingham, VA on October 17, 1943 to the late Garnett & Dorothy Shumaker. Pat retired from K-Mart after 27 years and Behavioral Health Services in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie "Buck" Spivey and grandson, Johnnie Spivey, III.
Survivors Include: daughter, Dorothy Spivey, Echols County; son & daughter-in-law, Johnnie "Buddy" & Amanda Spivey, Echols County; 4 grandchildren: Danielle Burkhalter Lance, Kyndall, Madison & Makenzye Spivey; 2 great-grandchildren: Macie & Gage Burkhalter, all of Echols County, GA; 5 sisters & brothers-in-law, Nan Hamilton & Alan Sharpton, Mosley, VA, Judy & Julian Thomas, Chesterfield, VA, Janice Jolly, Chesterfield, VA, Debra Owen, Glen Allen, VA, Kathy & Jerry Locke, Glen Allen, VA; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Garnett "Bubba" & Sandra Shumaker, Jr., Keysville, VA, Michael & Cloresa Shumaker, Chesterfield, VA and a number of nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
