Of Hahira, GA passed away early Friday morning, January 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born on May 5, 1947 in Valdosta, GA to the late Luther L. and Esther May Chastain Pierce. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Valdosta, GA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Zipperer, two of her daughters, Belinda Ann Zipperer and Glenda Fay Zipperer, a brother, Thomas Pierce, and two of her sisters, Barbara Pierce and Carolyn Pierce.
Survivors include her Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Gina & Don Hankins of Adel, GA, Rena & Darrel Rollins of Hahira, GA; Grandchildren, Whitney West, Kelly Miles, Paisley Hankins, Montana Rollins, Dakota Rollins,
Kylah Carpenter, Donnie Hankins, Dana Hankins; Great Grandchildren, Seanna, Tessa, Alexis, Madison, Mollie, Dalton, McKinley; Sisters, Wanda Rumph of Valdosta, GA, Marilyn Pierce of Pinetta, FL; Brother, Wendell Pierce of Lake Park, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
