Of Valdosta passed away Sunday March 13, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Sparks, GA on March 7, 1926 to the late Robert & Rhoda Bridges Davis. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Quinelle Smith Davis, a daughter, Rhoda Paulette Davis, six brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his, Daughter & Son-in-law, Jeanie & Jimmy Sapp, Sr., Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Jamey F Carter, Lake Park, GA, Kacey L Carter, Lake Park, GA; Sister, Peggy Davis Sweeney, Federal Way, Washington; Several extended family members
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday March 16, 2011 in Corinth Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Davis will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday March 15, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Corinth Baptist Church Youth Program, 4089 Corinth Church Road, Lake Park, GA. 31636.
