Of Lakeland passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in Berrien County on September 25, 1931 to the late Leon Curtis & Mattie Lee Mercer Davis. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mrs. Tipton is preceded in death by two husbands, Hayward Fender and James Tipton, two brothers, Junior Davis and Albert Davis
Survivors include:Daughter, Gail Fender Pierce, Largo, FL, 2 Grandsons & Granddaughter-in-law, Wade & Jennifer Pierce, Franklin, TN, Keith Pierce, Tampa, FL, Great Granddaughter, Alyssa Pierce, 2 Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Bonnie R. & Bobby Cole, Lake Park, GA, Agnes & Michael Woleshin, Jacksonville, FL, Niece, Terri Holton, Valdosta, GA, 2 Nephews, Ricky Cole, Pooler, GA, Curtis Davis, Nashville, GA, 2 Special Cousins, Margaret Davis Mathis, Lakeland, GA, Gloria Davis Lindsey, Alapaha, GA, A lot of special friends
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2006 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.
