Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her daughter's residence. She was born on April 5, 1934 in Live Oak, FL. She worked a number of years with Dowling Bag and Texture Tech. However, most of her life she did what she enjoyed best, being a mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Gateway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel & Pearl Sanders and Mose & Mabel Townsend; her husband, Harris McLeod, Jr.; and a daughter, Jackie McLeod.
Her survivors include: Fiancé Capers Drew of Valdosta, GA; 3 daughters & Sons-in-Law, Gayle Heard & Jerry Miller of Albany, GA; Gloria & Jim Herndon of Dupont, GA; Barbara & Jack Coker of Dasher, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Robert & Nancy McLeod of Valdosta, GA;
Seven Grandchildren; Traci Poer Kenneth, Angela Hunt Lee, Jamie McConnell Chaz, Robert McLeod, Jr. Katie, Trent McLeod, Trena Thompson Jake, Sara Vallee Jarrett, Eight Great Grandchildren, and Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law, Fred & Cathy McLeod of Cherry Lake, FL.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
