Pearline Knox Hammond, aged 85, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at PruittHealth-Holly Hill. She was born on December 25, 1939, in Lakeland, Georgia, to the late L.K. Knox and Lucille Brogdon Knox. Known for her caring nature and loving heart, Pearline was deeply devoted to her family, who were an important part of her life. A woman of strong faith, she was also admired for her Godly character.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Claude Riley; her son, Bennie Wayne Riley; 3 sisters: Diane, Geraldine and Kay.
Survivors include her son, Michael Lane Riley (Jeanette) of Jackson, Georgia; sister, Pauline Day of Valdosta, Georgia; favorite grandchildren: Brandi and Jeremy Jernigan; great granddaughter, Jaylynn Jernigan; grandchildren: Kyle Riley (Macey), Matt Cawthon, Ben Cawthon (Emily) and Justin Riley; great grandchildren: Zacc, Harper, Carter, Jaxon and Ellie; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
