Peggy Lenell Spearman Bellflowers, age 79, of Hahira, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Fellowship Home in Valdosta, Georgia. Mrs. Bellflowers was born on August 30, 1943, to the late Nellie Marie Spires Spearman and Silas Spearman in Hahira, Georgia. Peggy was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to her family. She was very talented and was known for her Christmas ornaments she made and shared with family and friends. Peggy enjoyed cooking and traveling with her sister and brother-in-law all over the United States. She taught the adult Sunday school class at Hahira Church of God, Azalea City Church of God, and Abundant Life Church of God. She retired after thirty years as a Paraprofessional with the Lowndes County Board of Education. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Lester S. Bellflowers and a great-great grandson, Samuel.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tina B. Pritchard and husband Larry, Asheboro, NC, Marsha B. Rackley and husband Jerry, Valdosta, GA; son by choice, Mike Spells and wife Tammy, Valdosta, GA; six grandchildren: Jesse Allan Spells, Kasey R. Langford, Amanda N. Daniels, Justin T. Rackley, Dillon Pritchard, and Nikole Pritchard; twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; sister, Verna Spearman Tucker, Hahira, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o’clock am, Friday, June 9, 2023, at Abundant Life Church of God, located at 3419 Knights Academy Road. Valdosta, Georgia.
