Phillip Phil Swann, Jr. - 73
of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday morning Sept. 12, 2006 in South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta after a lengthy illness. He was born March 9, 1933 to the late Phillip Martin Swann Sr. and Mary Margaret Moore Swann in Washington, DC and lived in Upper Marlboro, MD before moving to Valdosta in 2002. He was employed by Giant Food as a truck driver, was of the Episcopal faith and served in the United States Army.
Survivors include: Wife, Janet Swann, Valdosta, 3 Step-sons; Randy Hall, Cincinnati, OH, David Hall, Valdosta, GA, Dennis Hall, Valdosta, Granddaughter, Lisa Hall, Valdosta and a Grandson, Douglas Hall, Nashville, GA
As per Mr. Swanns wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Sympathy may be expressed online at
