She was born October 6, 1924 to the late John K. and Rena Mae Langford Souls in Irwin County, GA. She was a member of the Nashville Church of God and had worked at the Berrien County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Griffin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services at 2:00P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00P.M. until time of the service.
