Prenesha Mariah Holmes

Prenesha Mariah Holmes was born on June 17, 2003, in Fort Myers, Florida, to the late Taffy Harrison and Prentiss Holmes, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in Fort Myers with her siblings and attended Fort Myers Middle School and Cypress Lake High School. Prenesha later enrolled at FSW to pursue a career in nursing. Legacy and Remembrance Prenesha's life was filled with adversities, but she always persevered. She kept it real, loved to laugh, and could brighten even the darkest moments. She was a true light in spite of the darkness around her. Her beautiful heart and unforgettable jokes left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Prenesha is survived by her grandmother, Linda; her adoptive parent, Terrence Sr.; her siblings Atiana, Tyquan, Kamar, Lamichael Jr., Terrence Jr. and Tari'jay; along with many extended family members-nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins-and close friends who were like family.

Though her time with us was short, her memory will be cherished forever. This was a terrible and unexpected tragedy, but we find comfort knowing that Prenesha is finally free. After fighting for so long in her 22 years on this earth, she can now rest and be reunited with her mother, whom she mourned until her final days.
