Raymond L. “Shorty” Griner-74

Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005 after an apparent haert attack at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1930 in Berrien County. He lived here in Valdosta all of his life. Mr. Griner professed faith in Jesus Christ and was a former ordained minister of the original Smyrna Missionary Baptist Association. He was a master machinist by trade and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

7 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandchildren

One Brother Thomas Griner Nashville, Ga.

One Sister Imagene Mathis Jacksonville, Fl.

A number of Nieces & Nephews


Funeral Services were held on Friday, August 19, 2005 at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church in Echols County at 2:00 PM. Interment followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Griner family.
