Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday November 21, 2020 in her home. She was born on February 6, 1962 in Madrid, Spain to Ana Roca Lopez and Juan Barbosa. Remedios worked as a secretary with Moody Air Force Base for many years. She enjoyed crafting and collectables, primarily angels. She enjoyed cooking and even won the Moody Air Force Base chili cook off several times. She was known as the “Chili Queen”. She was an avid reader. Remedios enjoyed traveling as well. She is preceded in death by her sister, Maria Lourdes Barbosa Lopez.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Donald Mattice of Valdosta, GA; Son, Steven Mattice and wife, Karen of Valdosta, GA; Parents: Juan Barbosa Blanco and Ana Lopez Roca of Madrid, Spain; Along with numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday November 25, 2020 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends and guests one hour prior to the service.
