Of Lakeland, GA passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center in Lakeland, GA after a lengthy illness. She was born in Clinch County, GA on March 17, 1921 to the late Ezekiel and Sally Hughes Register. Mrs. Brantley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lakeland, GA. She was employed with her husband, Sheriff Randall W. Brantley, in the Administration Office for the Lanier County Sheriff's Department for 12 years. She also was actively involved with the Head Start Program and the Foster Grandparent Program for several years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall W. Brantley and a daughter, Dorothy Nell Brantley.
Her survivors include Daughter & Son-in-Law, Latrelle & Dilmus Richardson of Lakeland, GA;
Son & Daughter-in-Law, Darrell & Debbie Brantley of Hahira, GA; Grandchildren, Mandy & Marcea Verser, Ellis & Michelle Richardson, Nathan Brantley, Sarah & Brandon Rampey, Erin Brantley;
Great Grandchildren, Peyton Bush, Mary Ellis Richardson, Briggs Rampey, Kamryn Rampey; Great-Great Grandchild, Braydon; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Lovejoy Cemetery in Lanier County, GA.
