Of Morven passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. He was born on September 14, 1952 in Brooks County, GA to the late Harry Grady & Sarah Sally Pike Barnes. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Barnes and a brother, Harry Barnes.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his Mother, Sally Barnes, Nashville, GA; Wife, Ruby T. Swindle, Morven, GA; Brother, Jack Barnes, Quitman, GA; Sister, Linda Gore, Valdosta, GA; Step Daughter, Etta J. Smith, Broxton, GA; Three Step Sons, Steve Johnson II, Leon E. Johnson, Fitzgerald, GA, John E.Johnson, Albany, GA; A number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Funeral services to be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sparks Cemetery, Highway 41 North, Sparks GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
