Richard Lee Forrest our brother in arms passed on the morning of the December 9th, 2018 at the age of 55. Although Rick never served in our military his love for our Service members was indisputable. Those of us who were fortunate to know him understood his passionate love of God, this county, family members and friends. It was representative of the type of man he was. He is survived by several family members and a few very close friends.
His live action hero in life was Hans Kahl II, whom he raved about to all that knew him. Most of us loved his warped sardonic sense of humor. Richard loved reading, was an avid board gamer and would never back down from a good debate. He could talk hours on many topics like music, spirituality, aliens, nature, history or politics. In fact we often, through our discussions, solved all the world’s problems before the days end.
The friends and family have decided that because of Richard’s passion for nature and his love of trees, each will plant a tree to remember him by, in a place special to them and their life with this great friend. Thus creating our own rich forest (Rich Forrest). Doing this the memory of Richard will allow him live with us for many more years to come.
“Você e eu compartilhamos ótimas lembranças, obrigado. Bons sonhos, meu amigo . Dorme bem”-Hans B Kahl Sr.
