Richard Ivel Bradford – 74
Of Homerville, GA passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta, GA. He was born on January 6, 1942 in Waycross, GA to John R. and Maggie Smith Bradford. He served in the United States Army. He then worked as a licensed Funeral Director in the states of Georgia and South Carolina serving the funeral profession from 1955 until 2003. Mr. Bradford was employed with Music Funeral Services for several years. He had served as President and past member of the Jeff Davis County Jaycees. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.B. Bradford, and a special nephew, Richard E. Bradford.
Survivors include hisWife, Lynn Bradford of Homerville, GA; Stepson & Daughter-in-Law, Richard A. & Elizabeth Koontz of Charleston, SC; 2 Grandchildren, Nathan Koontz & Nolan Koontz; Stepsister & Husband, Linda & Holloway Griffis of Homerville, GA; Nieces, Domma Turner, Martha Ann McCaskill, and Gail O'Brien.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. As per Richard's request, in lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice.
