Of Valdosta passed away suddenly on Saturday July 25, 2009. He was born on June 28, 1967 to Shirley Ann Colvin of St. George, Utah and the late Richard Roper, Sr. of Florida. He graduated from Lowndes County High School and served 6 years in the United States Air Force at the time of his death he was a CDL driver for Werner. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion.
Along with his loving wife Terri Lynn Roper he leaves to mourn his passing a son & daughter-in-law, Sean & Rebecca Boller of Temple, TX.; daughter, Cheyenne Marie Roper of Dasher, GA.; granddaughter, Haliegh Boller of Benson, NC; his mother and step father, Shirley & Jim Colvin; brother & sister-in-law, Clay & Christie Roper of Roy, Utah; sister & brother-in-law, Lisa & Brian McCann of Sacramento, CA; maternal grandparents, Jim & Henrietta Traynor of Valdosta, GA.; mother & father-in-law, Larry & Frances Barnard; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Tammy & Bo Perkins, Laurie & Billy Shepherd, Jennifer & Tammy Morgan, Mary & Jason Rader; brother-in-law, Christopher Barnard; and sister-in-law, Tonia Barnard; number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Roper, Sr. of FL; maternal grandmother, Ruby Brogdon Traynor of Valdosta, GA; uncle, Randy Joiner of Lee County, GA and paternal grandfather, Willis Joiner of Waco, TX
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 1, 2009 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Andy Daughtry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M until service time Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the funeral home. As per Mr. Ropers wishes he will be cremated following the services with a private graveside service at a later date
