Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on June 4, 1949 in Macon, GA to Roy F. and Aline Simmons Damon. He was of the Baptist faith and was a welder by profession. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Sue Damon.
His survivors include, Sons: Robert Bobby William Damon of Atlanta, GA; Derek William Damon of Valdosta, GA; Sister: Shirley & LaFon Warren of Valdosta, GA; Granddaughter: Lexie Damon of Atlanta, GA; Niece: Laura & Gary Atkinson of Hahira, GA; Nephew: Justin & Jenny Warren of Valdosta, GA; Great Nieces & Nephews: Micaela Atkinson of Hahira, GA; Cody Atkinson of Hahira, GA; Brittany Warren of Valdosta, GA; Hope Warren of Valdosta, GA; Faithful Companion, Caregiver & Devoted Friend: Debbie Allen of Valdosta, GA; Good Friends: Bobby, Celena, Kim, Vaughn, Benny, Connor, Cortman, Beth, Jim & Judy Miller, Graeme & Scarlet Treloar, Mandy, and to numerous others to mention; and his Beloved Dog: Moose.
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family requests that anyone attending the funeral to please wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Bethany Hospice, 2517 Bemiss Road, Valdosta, GA., 31602.
