Of Valdosta passed away at his residence on February 28, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1946 in Valdosta Georgia to the late Paul Raymond and Willa Lee (Holton) Holmes. He was a truck driver working in the transportation industry and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Holton and a sister Nonie (Holton) Pittman.
Survivors include: Loving wife of 39 years, Cheryl Holmes, Valdosta, Georgia; Children Paul Holmes, Kimberly Mainor (Rod), Christie Holmes, Stacy Richards, Michael York (Jessica), Jason York (Crystal), Ashley Holmes 20 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren, 2 Brothers Harry Holton (Faye),Timmy Holton (Bonnie) Best Friend Robert Willoughby and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 with a celebration of life service being held at 5:30 p.m in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
