Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Nashville, TN on December 22, 1936 to the late James & Grace Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant after 23 years of service. He was Baptist by faith.
He was survived by his Wife: Margaret Johnson, Valdosta, GA; Daughters&Son-in-law: Dawn Johnson, New Hampshire, Deborah & Daniel Tinus, Bay City, TX, Brenda Gail Shultz, Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law: Robert & Jennifer Johnson, Jr., Orlando, FL; 10 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 3 Sisters; 2 Brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 29, 2008 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Full Military Honors will be rendered at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the funeral home.
