Robert “Dawson” Lee – 18
Of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on January 31, 2006 in Valdosta to Cliff and Nicole Lee.
Dawson was an adventurous spirit who thrived on the thrill of indoor skydiving and was diligently working toward his Level 3 Sky Diving Certification. His passion for motorcycles ran deep; he immersed himself in the mechanics, spending countless hours researching and learning how to modify various parts. Riding brought him immense joy, and he loved sharing his enthusiasm with others. Those who engaged him in conversation about motorcycles could see the excitement radiating from his face, as he effortlessly shared his knowledge.
A proud graduate of Whitewater High School, Class of 2024, Dawson earned his honors with hard work and dedication. Musically gifted, he played the viola and violin and was self-taught on the piano and guitar. His curiosity extended beyond music; he had a deep appreciation for different cultures and spoke several languages, including Spanish, Japanese, and Russian. He eagerly anticipated a family trip to Japan, excited to immerse himself in its rich culture.
Dawson's drive and focus were evident in every endeavor he pursued. He balanced two jobs—one with his family’s business, Precision Automation, and another at Discount Tire—while aspiring to become a computer programmer. He looked forward to taking over the family business and expanding his expertise in the field.
Raised in a faith-filled environment, Dawson attended Knights Memorial Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church as a child. At the age of 7, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. He grew up listening to Southern Gospel Music and found joy in singing traditional church hymns. With a heart burdened for friends who didn’t know Christ, he prayed continually for their salvation. Currently a member of Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Dawson embodied a spirit of generosity.
From his earliest days in elementary school, Dawson demonstrated a profound sense of empathy and generosity. He made it a personal mission to ensure that kids who couldn’t afford adequate meals received the support they needed. With a caring heart, he often went out of his way to provide financial assistance to those in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and compassion that reflects the character of his Savior Jesus Christ. This giving nature forged many meaningful friendships and relationships throughout his life.
He is survived by his Parents, Cliff and Nicole Lee of Fayetteville, Georgia; Paternal Grandparents, Darrell and Susan Lee of Teeterville, Georgia; Maternal Grandparents, Danny and Eimi Paulk of Stockton, Georgia; Aunt, Angela Sirmans (Scott) of Teeterville, Georgia; Aunt, Lacee Paulk (Fiancé Denny Ray Chaney) of Stockton, Georgia; numerous close, loving cousins and extended family members.
