Of Howell, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born January 6, 1936 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late James Fountain & Eunie Melissa Tyson Mathis. He was a beekeeper and also worked in construction as a brickmason and an electrician.
Survivors include:
Wife of 54 years Janice Mathis Howell, GA
Daughter Nancy Hayes Hahira, GA
Son Archie James Mathis Howell, GA
Sister Patsy Underwood Chiefland, FL
5 Grandchildren
9 Great Grandchildren
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2011 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
