Robert “Bob” Phillips – 82
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1936 in Richmond, VA to the late James Egbert and Ida Mae (Whitaker) Phillips. He retired as a Major from the United States Air Force in November of 1988. He enjoyed playing golf, guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren at family get-togethers. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James “Jimmy” Phillips and Sister, Betty Anderson.
Survivors include: Wife of 58 years, Anne Phillips of Valdosta, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Bob and Heather Allgood of Tennessee; Daughter and Son-in-law, Dawn and Danny Hayes of Tennessee; Daughter and Son-in-law, Jennifer and Charles Loncon of Guthrie, OK; Daughter and Son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Griffis of Lake Park, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Julie and Brad Gane of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Karen Snowden, Charles “Trey” Loncon, Gary Allen Cifers, Kailana Haugen, Nic Griffis, Joshua Haugen, Ashley Loncon, Keegan Loncon and True Gane; Great Grandchildren: Chason Brooks, Aiden Cifers, Cameron Seyfried, Erynn Haugen, and Malia Anglin; Sister, Jean Pond of Alabama; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Halcyon Hospice, 515 North St Augustine Rd, Valdosta, GA 31601 and American Heart Association, https://www2.heart.org/ .
