Robert Wayne Lindsey

Robert “Wayne” Lindsey – 80 of Hahira, Georgia passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020 at his home after a lengthy illness. Wayne was born on November 3, 1939 in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Nellie Mae (Weldon) and Matthew Robert Lindsey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After Wayne’s service in the military, he went on to become a commercial truck driver for Chevron. Wayne is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother, Owen Franklin Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra H. Lindsey of Hahira, GA; Children, DeAnna Lindsey Duvall of Valdosta, GA, Candi Lindsey-Giddens and husband, Thomas of Hahira, GA, Lee Wood, Jr. and wife, Laura of North Ridge, CA; Grandsons: Justin Duvall, Alex Wood, and Paxton Giddens; Siblings, Betty Gray of Hahira, GA, Kenneth Lindsey and wife, Gail of Perry, GA, Marie Dixon and husband, Randall of Eastman, GA, Matthew Lindsey and wife, Vickie of Hahira, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will be holding a celebration of life service for Mr. Wayne at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his brother’s barn, 7935 Webb Road North, Hahira, GA 31632.
