Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Eastman, GA after a sudden illness. He was born on November 4, 1959 in Lowndes County, GA to the late Robert Lee and Lola Mitchew Whitt. He was a member of the Cherokee of Georgia. He was employed as a operations manager at WAAC 92.9 FM; WGOV 95AM in Valdosta for 23 years and State Broadcasting Corp in Dublin, GA for 3 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Waters, Rob Waters.
Survivors include: Wife, Jeannett Whitt, Valdosta, GA, Daughters & Son-in-law, Casey & Jason Fern, Forest Grove, OR, Dawn Rushton, Mobile, AL, Wendy Wolfe, Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren, Aimee Rushton, Zachary Fern, Gavin Fern, Siarah, Fern, and Aeva Fern
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Ralph V. Crews and Chief Tall Oak Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to services on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
