Mrs. Robin M. Cox, 46, of Valdosta passed away Friday, March 16th at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Tallassee, Alabama on July 25, 1960 to Mrs. Rebecca M. Henderson. She was of Baptist Faith, and lived her life as a loving wife, homemaker and caring mother of her children.
Robin is survived by her husband of nearly 29 years, James Randy Cox of Valdosta; two daughters, Christina Allison Cox and Katherine Katie Michelle Cox, of Valdosta; her grandmother who reared and cared for her as a child, Mrs. Virginia T. Lumpkin of Opelika, Al.; her mother, Rebecca M. Henderson of Opelika, Al.; four sisters, Reba O'steen of Opelika, AL.; Dr. Donna McHargue Dr. Mike Hill of Knoxville, TN.; Holly Gary Hadden of Lilburn, GA.; Jamie Lee Cannon of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Tim Blackmon of Opelika, AL.; James Blackmon of Pensacola, FL.
The family received friends on Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services at 3831 N. Valdosta Road in Valdosta starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service that was held at 2 p.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Brian Sayre of The Church of the Nazarene in Valdosta. A private family entombment was held in the Garden Mausoleum at Riverview Memorial Gardens on a later date.
