Roger Wayne Miller – 83
Of Lakeland passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 15, 1933 in Richland, MO to the late Roscoe & Flossie (Bryant) Miller. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. Following retirement from the military he worked with civil service for 21 years. All total he served as a fireman for 41 years. He enjoyed working on his old Studebaker, fishing, gardening, building model airplanes and being outdoors. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Betty Miller and 3 brothers, Vic Miller, Bob Miller and Alan Miller.
Survivors Include: Wife of 59 years, Frances Miller, Lakeland; 3 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Peggie & Charles Cowart, Lakeland, Cheryl Miller, Lakeland, Brandi & Chris Sellars, Lakeland; 2 Sons: Roger Dale Miller, Arizona, Jeff Miller , Lakeland; 11 Grandchildren: Roger Eagle, Jason, Justin, Dusty, Brandon, Keeley, Hunter, Mason, Karly, Jeffrey & Kristy; 16 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Mable Myers, Lebanon, MO; Brother & Sister-in-law, Lee & Barbara Miller, Dover, DE and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 12, 2017 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered.
