Ronald Freeman Oliver - 64
Of Lake Park passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 in Select Choice Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Lowndes County where he grew up and attended high school at Lowndes High. Ronnie retired from Harvey's Grocery Store in Castle Park. Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, James Oliver Sr. and Myrtle Oliver-Roberts, 2 brothers, James Oliver, Jr. and L.A. Oliver.
Survivors include: brother, James Lowell Lane, Valdosta, GA, sisters, Virginia Kellerman, Quitman, GA, Jeannette Menke, Tucson, AZ, special nephew, Jimmy R. Lane with whom they were raised like brothers, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends in Lake Park
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 28, 2008 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
