Of Lakeland passed away early Saturday morning, September 14, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Nashville, GA on June 2, 1958 to the late R.D. and Arabell (Brogdon) Kent. Along with his wife, Ronny owned and operated Kent & Son Construction, Inc. He was an avid drag racer, loved being outdoors and spending time at his pond. Along with his parents, his brother, Ray Kent precedes him in death.
Survivors include his Wife of 39 years, Lynn Kent of Lakeland, GA; Son, Jordan Kent of Lakeland, GA; Brother & Sister-in-Law, R.D. & Rose Kent, Jr. of Waynesboro, GA; Sisters & Brother-in-Law, Joyce & Fred Derochers of Morrow, GA and JoAnn Kent of Lakeland, GA; Sister-in-Law, Debbie Studstill (Bill Brown) of Lakeland, GA; Brother-in-Law, Ronnie (Donna) Solomon Hatfield, PA; Sister-in-Law, Wendy Bennett of Stockton, GA; Mother-in-Law, Geraldine Bennett of Stockton, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and many great friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland.
