Of Brooks County, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Rosa was born August 23, 1926 in Banks County, GA to the late Jim & Elsie Stewart Massey Mrs. Rosa was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. She enjoyed fishing with her husband which would always turn into a friendly competition. Gardening and crafts were hobbies of hers. During Christmas, she would make crafts for the tree and other places around Providence United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by Sisters, Betty Jean Hassel, Ethel Lee Hunter, and Clara Pierce.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00A.M. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening Friday, September 25, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in her memory to the Providence United Methodist Church, 1585 Morven Road Valdosta, GA 31649.
