Rose “Jessie” Brown Boedker – 86
Of Naylor, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on March 29, 1935 in Wilson, North Carolina to the late William Cole and Virginia Dare (Haggins) Cole. Mrs. Boedker worked as a CNA with Prime-Time Nursing Home for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Mrs. Boedker was also a loving Christian woman who enjoyed taking her children to church. She was known to be unfiltered, hilarious and unpredictable. She loved her family, especially her grands and great grands. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, daughters, Lisa LaBlanc and Laura Gibson.
Survivors include her children: Debbie B. Gibson and husband, Lonnie of Naylor, GA, Patricia B. Cutrell and husband, Tim of Lakeland, Georgia, Christy B. Clark and husband, Dean of Virginia Beach, Virginia; step children, Sara Ann Jackson of Suffolk, Virginia, Connie Frances Gibson and husband, Chad of Chesapeake, Virginia, Lee Ray Boedker of Lakeland, Georgia; 6 grandchildren: Justin, Dorothy, Linda, Patricia, Tim and Brad; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Good Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church. She will be laid to rest in Good Hope Cemetery. Kind messages and memories may be left to the family at
