Of Valdosta, GA passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 25, 1948 in Lakeland, GA to the late Dave Riley Fender and Nancy Elizabeth Gilliard. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by, 8 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: Wife of 44 years, Latrelle Fender of Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law, Roy & Tracy Fender, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law, Roger & Gina Fender of Lakeland, GA; Son, Russell Fender of Homerville, GA; Special Son, Timmy Brown of Lakeland, GA; 20 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren; Sister & Brother-in-law, Jessie & Ronald Skinner of Ray City, GA; Several nieces, nephews & extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on November 1, 2017 at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Homerville with burial to follow at Mudcreek cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
