Royce Franklin "Bo" Tyre- 93
of Valdosta, GA died peacefully at Langdale Hospice House on April 22, 2015. Bo was born on March 5, 1922 to the late Frank and Edna Lee Tyre. At the age of 16, he enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was stationed in SC, Washington State, and Columbus, GA. During WWII, Bo served as an Aviation Machinist's in the US Navy. He retired from Rayonier in Jesup after 30 years. Being a devout Christian he was constantly serving the Lord in his church, community and work place. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Murray Tyre; step-mother, Eula Tyre; sister, Dess Kelly; brothers, Harry and Jack Tyre and son-in-law, Joseph W. O'Haire, Jr.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter in Law, Royce "Mack" and Carol Tyre of Eagan, Minnesota; Daughter, Elaine O'Haire of Valdosta, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Jason and Rachel Tyre of California, Katherine and Eric Larson of California, Andrew and Stephen O'Haire of Valdosta, GA; 2 great grandchildren, Ava and Levi Tyre; 4 Sisters, Madge Locher, Betty Blinson, Wanda Wagner, Patsy Wood, and Brother, Billy Tyre. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in the Chapel of Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home in Jesup, GA with burial to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in Jesup. The family will receive friends in Valdosta on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Music Funeral Services.
