VALDOSTA Ruby Lee Hendrix 85, of Valdosta passed away early Sunday morning, Sept. 18, 2005, in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ben Hill County, Georgia on Sept. 22, 1919, to the late Noley and Georgia Massey. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Hendrix was employed at Cracklin Good Bakery for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl W. Hendrix
Survivors Include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan Cunningham, Jacksonville, Fla., Sandra Tillman and Greg McLeod, Valdosta; granddaughter, Dina and Rickey McDaniel, Newnan; granddaughter, Kalene Bullard, Jacksonville, Fla.; grandson, Jamie Barrett, Valdosta; granddaughter, Jennifer and Paul DeLoach, Valdosta; grandson, Waylon and Sherri Tillman, Valdosta; grandson, Khole McLeod, Valdosta; grandson, Derrik McLeod, Valdosta; great-granddaughter, Danielle and Eddie Kirkland, Newnan; great granddaughter, Kristen McDaniel, Newnan, Ga.; great-granddaughter, Madison Bullard, Jacksonville, Fla.; great-grandson, Daniel Barrett, Valdosta; great-granddaughter, Destiny Bussone, Valdosta; great-granddaughter, Brooklin Bussone, Valdosta; great-grandson, Dawson Tillman, Valdosta.
As per Ms. Hendrixs wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 20, 2005, in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
