Ruby Nell Shackelford – 93
Of Valdosta, passed away early Sunday morning, April 5, 2020 after a lengthy illness at the Langdale Hospice House. Ruby was born on June 13, 1926 to the late Emory and Lucy Coffey in Athens, Georgia. She retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in 1998 at Moody AFB Valdosta, GA. Mrs. Shackelford was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and attended regularly as long as she was physically able. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband MSgt. Roscoe Wilburn Shackelford.
Survivors include her Son and Daughter-in-law, Randy and Kimberly Shackelford of York, PA; Son, Ronny Shackelford of Valdosta, GA; Daughter- in-law, Andree' Shackelford of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Christopher Shackelford (Kathey) of Portland, OR, Brian Shackelford of York, PA, Danielle Shackelford of Valdosta, GA and Brittany Boltersdorf (Kyle) of Lancaster, PA; Sister, Elizabeth Green of Ft. Pierce, FL; Brother, Thomas Coffey of Otto, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Athens, GA.
