He was born to the late Carlie and Mattie Roe Sirmans in Lanier County, GA and had lived in Berrien County, most of his life. Mr. Sirmans farmed prior to retirement due to declining health. He was a member of Trinity Holiness Church. Preceding Mr. Sirmans in death were his parents and brother, Horace Sirmans.

Funeral services were held Tuesday January 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Holiness Church, with burial following in Guthrie Cemetery.
