Ruel “Jodey” Cecil Dalton, 53, of Lakeland, GA, passed away on March 29, 2026, at SGMC after a lengthy illness. He was born in Chattahoochee, FL, to Jackie D. Dalton and Alice F. Dobbins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Hill; bonus son, Kenneth Ganas; and his parents.

He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Tammy Lee Dalton; bonus daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ganas and Kevin Brannon of Lakeland, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Justin Slinginger of Panama City Beach, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and William Pittman of Hosford, FL; bonus sister, Laura “Becky” Pickron of Blountstown, FL; and grandson, Ronan Wetherbee of Valdosta, GA; niece, Christy Hill; nephews, Codey Hill and Christopher Hill of Ellijay, GA, and DJ Pittman and Lewis Pittman of Hosford, FL; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated with no final farewell services held.
