Of Ray City, GA, formerly of Laurens County passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Lanier County after an accidental drowning while spending time with his family at the Alapaha River. He was born in Dublin, GA on November 10, 1971. He was a self employed welder. Rusty gave the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter. He left a lasting mark on everyone he meet.
Survivors include: Wife, Gena Self, Ray City, GA; 4 Daughters: Kalie Self, Warner Robins, GA, Rheanna Self, Ray City, Graycee Self, Ray City, Cassidy Self, Ray City; 2 Grandchildren: Karson Mitchum & Ryder Mitchum; Parents, Ronnie & Patsy Self, Dublin, GA; Sister, Angela Self, Dublin, GA; Brother, Joey Bedingfield, Ray City; Mother-in-law, Freida Lindsey, Macon, GA; 3 Brothers-in-laws: Jim Lowery, Uvalda, GA, John Lowery, Rentz, GA, James Lowery, Uvalda, GA
and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
