Ruth Henderson Akins

Ruth Henderson Akins – 87 of Nashville, GA went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2019 at Fellowship Home in Nashville, GA surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Statenville, GA to the late William and Elizabeth (Padgett) Henderson. Ruth was a special education teacher in the Echols County school system for numerous years. She is preceded in death by her husbands: Bill Price and Judge Elwyn Akins; son, Jerry M. Price.
Survivors include her Daughter and Son-in-Law, Peggy and Raymond Culpepper of Birmingham, AL; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, David and Debbie Price of Echols County, GA; Robin Price of Berrien County, GA; Jody Price of Berrien County, GA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; Close friend and caregiver, Renee Easterwood of Berrien County, GA.
A graveside service honoring Mrs. Ruth will be held on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Statenville Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.
