Ruth Herndon Ivey

Of Lakeland, passed away Wednesday evening, June 30, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born November 29, 1915 in Lanier County, Georgia to the late James Berry & Emily Powell Herndon. She was a homemaker who spent many days working on the family farm. She was a member of the Live Oak United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Ivey, two brothers, Rev. J.W. Herndon & Chester Bub Herndon.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Unity United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the Live Oak Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 2, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
