of Valdosta, GA passed away June 3, 2014, in her home. She was born November 30, 1924 in Willacoochee, GA, to the late Joe and Mary Jane Lindsey Crosby. She worked in the shipyard in Savanah, GA during World War II as a First class welder when she was 17 years old. She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Newmans and also his wife Sandra Newmans.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Talley Newmans, Daughter, Faye Brooks, Four Grandchildren, Joe Newmans and wife Heather, Derrick Sumner and wife Jamie, Wade Sumner and wife Brandi, and Jade Parramore and husband Shane. She had several Great-Grandchildren, Jaylin Brown, Josh Brown, Aubrey Brooks, Trenton Brooks, Cash Sumner, and Aubryn Parramore.
Graveside service will be held Friday morning, June 6, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Lake Park Memorial Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Newmans family.
