Ruth Browning Skinner

Ruth Browning Skinner, age 88, of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2022, surrounded by her family at her sons’ home in Lakeland, Georgia. Ruth was born August 25, 1933 in Pearson, Georgia to the late Veller Bennett Browning and William Browning. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother; she enjoyed cooking and loving her family; she also enjoyed being outside, and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Earl Skinner; one son, Ricky Skinner; one granddaughter, Heather Bennett; two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her children: John Skinner and wife Stephanie, Glen Skinner and wife Robin all of Lakeland, Georgia, Barbara S. Martinez and husband Mike of Homerville, Georgia, Peggy S. Bennett and husband Sherman of Astro Park, Florida and Ellie S. Stone and husband David of Atlanta, Georgia. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 O’clock PM, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
