Ruth Arlette (Spell) Stalvey – 91 Of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on March 23, 1927 in Ray City, GA to the late William and Lillie (Purvis) Spell. Ruth was a machinist at Metal Products until her retirement. Mrs. Stalvey was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her days fishing, gardening, and reading. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Stalvey, son, Steve Stalvey, grandson, Jason Gibson; sisters: Mary Lee-Rountree, Lowell Cowart, Dorothy Cooper, Irene Gregory, Hazel Whitehead; brothers: Harvey Spell, Yulee Spell, and Bobby Don Spell.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2019, in the Charity Baptist Church with burial following in the Friendship Cemetery. Ms. Stalvey will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the funeral home.
