Sadie "Sally" Mary Ippolito

Sadie "Sally" Ippolito, born in NYC on Aug 20, 1928. She was the 16th child born to Vincenzo and Gaetana Ippolito.
Sally came to Valdosta in 1961. She joined the Eastern Star Chapter in 1962. She was employed by the Valdosta Police Department; first as a School Guard for 8 ½ years, then in 1972 she moved up to the Department as the 1st lady dispatcher and County Clerk until her retirement in 1993. The very next day she was a School Guard at Gornto Road for Valwood School until 2002 when Valwood School moved to the county.
Ms. Sally loved her jobs, was happy with a beautiful smile all the time and always on the go and doing her own yard work. She became involved with the Valdosta Senior Center where she loved to play Mah Jongg, spades, pinochle, Shuffleboard and volunteered at the dances. She was always willing to help in any way.
Ms. Sally has attended faithfully at St Barnabas Episcopal Church since 1993. She enjoyed serving as acolyte, intercessor, and was in the chair before going up to NYC to be with her ailing brother. After her brother passed on and then came back home to Valdosta.
Ms. Sally leaves 2 sons; Louis and Candy Pascarella, Guy and Jody Pascarella, 3 grandchildren, Guy Jr, Marie Rosaria and Elizabeth and 3 Great-grandchildren, Serena Jo, Josephine (Little Jo as she called her) and Poppy. She has left many, many good friends, especially, Ginny Frick, Ms Tee Brown, Karyl and Jim Miller, John Thacker, Pastor Susan.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Music Funeral Services.
