Of Lakeland, GA passed away Thursday evening, October 22, 2009 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital in Lakeland, GA after a lengthy illness. He was born July 26, 1966 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Dick and Katie Tucker Bennett. Sam loved the outdoors his passion was hunting hogs and coon with dogs. He loved to train and hunt dogs. Sam fought a couragous battle with cancer since 1998 inspiring many with his positive outlook.

Funeral Services will be held will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 27, 2009 in the Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland with burial in Burnt Church Cemetery in Lanier County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. Monday evening.
