Sammie Joe Lane – 56
Of Pensacola, FL passed away in Valdosta, GA on Sunday, May 5, 2019. He was born on January 26, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN to Joe Lane and Edith Williams Lane. He retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps after serving for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Shellhorn, his Step Dad, Randy Shellhorn and a brother Darren Alton Lane.
Survivors include his Father, Joe Lane of Pensacola, FL; Daughter, Nicole Beall (Josh) of Hahira, GA; Son, Randy Lane of Pensacola, FL; Daughter, Abby Lane of Hahira, GA; Grandchildren, Reagan Beall, Mason Beall; Brother, Tracy Lane (Jocelyn) of Barstow, CA; Nephew, Joey Lane of Barstow, CA; Niece, Kimberly Lane of Barstow, CA; Niece, Jacqui Hartsfield (Neil) of Texas; Uncle, George Williams (Becky) of Clearwater, FL; Mother of his Children, Dorothy Lane;
Loyal Companion, Oscar.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private burial will be held at Fort Bayard National Cemetery in Fort Bayard, NM.
