Samuel J. Brown – 90
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1928 in Lena, MS to the late Walter Lucket Brown, Sr. and Nancy Annie Renfro Brown. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was an avid gardener and devoted husband and father. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Brown, son, Elmer Eugene “Gene” Brown, 5 brothers and sisters, Horace Edwin Brown, Dewitt Brown, Myrtis Christine (Ash) Brown, Ollie Hercil Brown, Mary Ellen (Armstrong) Brown, Walter Luckett Brown, Jr. and Ollen Graham Brown.
Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Cynthia Gale and Stephen Lilly of Lake Park, GA; Son, Donald Auston Brown of Valdosta, GA; Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law, Stephen Ray and Krista Lilly of Kentucky; Sisters, Frances Annie Brown; Brothers, Aubrey Lavon Brown, Hilton Kennard Brown.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at New Ramah Cemetery in Ray City, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
