Sam Otis Culpepper – 81 of Stockton Georgia passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Stockton, Georgia on December 17, 1935 to the late Cecil and Juanita (Bennett) Culpepper. He was a mechanic and worked for Wilson Chevrolet and Roger Budd Chevrolet. In recent years, he worked as a car transporter for local auto dealers. He was a member of the Stockton Baptist Church and was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family & friends and spoiling his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, William Christopher Hamilton.
Survivors include: Wife of 58 years: Margaret Culpepper, Stockton, Georgia; 4 Daughters and 3 Sons-in-Law: Dianne Culpepper, Stockton, Georgia, Lynita and Doug Hamilton, Lakeland, Georgia, Deidra and Clete Youmans, Dyersburg, Tennessee, Karen and Ashley Carter, Lakeland, Georgia; Son and Daughter-in -Law: Gregg and Fran Culpepper, Ray City, Georgia; 11 Grandchildren: Lindsey (Doobie) Stone, Kelly (Lance) Bradford, Samuel (Missy) Hamilton, Kyle (Ashley) Youmans, Claire Youmans, Brittany (Drew) Rhodes, Zachary Carter (Amber Ferrell), Harrison Carter, Evan Culpepper, Parker Culpepper, Payton Culpepper; 7 Great Grandchildren; Brother and Sister-in-Law: Laverne and Betty Culpepper, Stockton, Georgia and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Stockton Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Mr. Culpepper will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends on Monday June 19, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
