Sandra Hunter, 78, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on November 23, 1946, in York, Pennsylvania, to the late Eugene Elsworth Strausbaugh and Geraldine Shive Strausbaugh.
She enjoyed shopping, being lovingly spoiled by her daughter, Christine and keeping up with everything happening around her—she never missed a thing. Her favorite color was purple, a perfect reflection of her vibrant personality.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Tamisa Strasbaugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine McLeod (James) of Valdosta, Georgia; son, Grady Hunter, Jr. of North Carolina; daughter, Samantha Stone of Douglas, Georgia; grandchildren: Angela Hill, Nicky Moxley, Brittany McLeod, Jonathan McLeod and Brianna Stone; great granddaughter, Leah McLeod; sisters: Terri Muleky of Nashville, Georgia and Pamela Henderson of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
