Sara A. Williams – 90

Of Lakeland passed away early Monday morning October 8, 2007 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital in Lakeland following a lengthy illness. She was born in Shellman, GA Feb. 21, 1917 to the late Walter and Lydia Allen, and had lived in Lakeland most of her life. She taught school in the Lanier County School Systems for 50 years before her retirement. Her dedication to the profession of teaching made a difference in the lives of many students. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the First Baptist Church in Lakeland. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George C. Geech Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 11: 00 A.M. Wednesday October 10, 2007 in the First Baptist Church in Lakeland with burial at Burnt Church Cemetery in Lanier County.
